PET PORTRAIT PHOTO TIPS
- Natural light outside is good. Early in the day or late in the day the light is the best.
- Indoors is good also, but natural light is still ideal, so try taking the photo near a window.
- Flash photos indoors usually flatten the pet's features, cause red eye, and wash out the true colors of the pet.
- It is better to take photos at your pet's level, instead of them looking up at you. You can try to put him/her on a table or chair.
- Having someone assist with the photo shoot is helpful, as they can distract your pet and hold treats or toys near the camera.
- You will need to take at least two clear, sharp close-ups of the pet's face, including the neck and ears.
- Other photos can be used for reference, the more the better.
- Information about the pet's personality is helpful also.
- I can work from either photo files, or the actual photos. These will be returned upon completion.
